Which database does nopCommerce need?

An MSSQL database. Create an empty SQL Server 2025 database in the Control Panel and select it in the installer. You can manage it from SQL Server Management Studio over the remote endpoint, or from WebMSSQL in your browser.

How much memory does a nopCommerce store get?

A Free website has 256 MB of dedicated RAM. Every Premium website starts with 512 MB and can be scaled up to 8 GB in 512 MB blocks. When an application reaches its limit, its application pool is recycled.

Can I use my own domain and HTTPS for the checkout?

Custom domains are part of Premium plans. Free Let’s Encrypt certificates are issued per domain and renewed automatically, and you can force a redirect from HTTP to HTTPS in the Control Panel.

Is my store backed up?

Premium plans include automatic daily backups kept for 14 days. You can also create a full .bak backup of the database in the Control Panel at any time and download it.

Can I install nopCommerce plugins and themes?

Yes. You have full access to the website files through the File Manager, Web Deploy, GitHub deploy or FTP, so you can upload plugins and themes or deploy your own customised build.
