Remote access for SSMS and CI/CD
Remote access is a switch in the Control Panel. Once it is enabled, you connect to a public endpoint on port 1433 over a TLS-encrypted connection from SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio or your CI/CD pipeline. Websites hosted with us use an internal hostname instead. Prefer the browser? WebMSSQL signs you in automatically, with no client installation and no remote access needed.
Backups, import and monitoring
Create a full .bak backup at any time and download it, or upload your own .bak of up to 2 GB and restore it — with an optional safety backup of the current data first. Import .sql scripts of up to 2 GB in the background, run T-SQL from the browser and watch CPU time, disk usage and the most expensive queries on the Resource page. The access log shows who connected and when for the last 3 months.
Limits by plan
- Free plan: 1 GB database storage, 1 database
- Premium Single: 2× databases × 2 GB each (4 GB total)
- Premium Multi: 10× databases × 2 GB each (20 GB total)
- Add-on: extend any Premium database in 2 GB blocks, up to 50 GB
