Why Node.js here
Node.js hosting with builds from GitHub
Node.js is not tied to Linux. On our platform IIS sits in front of your application and starts it as a regular Node.js process — and you do not have to build or upload anything by hand. Connect a GitHub repository, pick the deployment type and we take care of the rest.
Next.js, Nuxt and Nest.js hosting
Choose Node.js SSR app for server-rendered applications such as Next.js and Nuxt in SSR mode, Nest.js, or a plain Express or Fastify server. We run npm install and npm run build, deploy the whole application including node_modules, and generate the web.config that lets IIS launch your Node.js process and proxy requests to it.
Start command detected automatically
After the first build we detect how to start your app: next start for Next.js, .output/server/index.mjs for Nuxt, dist/main.js for Nest.js, otherwise server.js. You can override the start command at any time.
React, Vue and Angular single-page apps
Choose Build Node.js SPA for front ends that compile to static HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Your repository needs a package.json with a build script; tell us the output folder (for example dist for Vite or build for Create React App) and only the compiled output is published.
Deploy on every push
Publishing is one click in the Control Panel: pull the latest commit, then build and publish. On Premium plans a GitHub webhook can do it automatically on every push — see GitHub deploy for details.
Node.js and ASP.NET in one account
Many projects pair a Node.js or Angular front end with an ASP.NET Core Web API. On our Windows hosting both run side by side, with the same Control Panel and the same free HTTPS. Prefer to upload a ready-built app yourself? That works too — listen on the PORT environment variable and add a short web.config, as described in our help center.
Try the Next.js example first
The website wizard can install a sample server-side rendered Next.js application that runs on Node.js under IIS. It needs no database and no repository, so you can see a Node.js app working on your own address before you connect your project.
Logs for Node.js applications
Every build has its own log in the Control Panel. For the running application, the HttpPlatform debug log captures the standard output of Node.js, Angular SSR or Next.js apps, which is where startup errors show up.
Free Node.js hosting to start
Create a website on the free ASP.NET hosting plan, connect your repository and check that your Node.js app builds and starts. When you need your own domain or automatic deploys, compare hosting plans and pricing.
