Why .NET 10
Benefits of .NET 10
.NET 10 is the current Long-Term Support (LTS) release — the version Microsoft
recommends for new production workloads. It builds on the performance and cloud focus of .NET 9 and
pairs it with the stability guarantees teams need for apps that stay in service for years. If you are
starting a project today, .NET 10 is the safe default.
Long-term support you can plan around
As an LTS release, .NET 10 comes with three years of official support, including security patches and
bug fixes. That makes it the ideal target for enterprise and line-of-business applications where a
predictable maintenance window matters more than chasing the newest features. Deploy once and know
your runtime is supported well into the future.
Performance and lower cloud cost
Each .NET release tightens the runtime, and .NET 10 is no exception. Improvements to the JIT
compiler, garbage collector and core libraries mean faster startup, lower memory use and higher
throughput. On a shared cloud platform like ours that translates directly into snappier apps and
more headroom within your plan’s dedicated RAM.
C# 14 and modern language features
.NET 10 ships with C# 14, continuing the language’s move toward concise, expressive and
maintainable code. Combined with the latest Base Class Library additions, you write less boilerplate
and get more done — whether you are building Web APIs, Blazor front-ends or background services.
Full-stack web with Blazor and Native AOT
Blazor’s unified web UI model keeps maturing in .NET 10, with better rendering, server-side
rendering and streaming for interactive apps written entirely in C#. Native AOT compilation is also
more capable, producing smaller, faster-starting binaries that are perfect for cloud-hosted APIs and
microservices.
Runtime settings for .NET 10 apps
Your application brings its own target framework; in the Control Panel you choose the ASP.NET Core hosting model (InProcess is recommended, OutOfProcess is supported with the DLL runtime) and whether the application pool runs as 32-bit, which is the default, or 64-bit. Saving a change recycles the application pool and the site is back within seconds. Environment variables are set per website and applied on the next application start.
Deploy .NET 10 from GitHub or Visual Studio
Connect a GitHub repository, choose Build .NET app and we run dotnet publish on our server — see GitHub deploy. Prefer the IDE? Download the publish profile from the Control Panel, import it in Visual Studio and publish with Web Deploy, which uploads only the files that changed.
.NET 10 hosting for production ASP.NET Core
.NET 10 combines the newest runtime performance with the reassurance of long-term support, making it
the strongest choice for production ASP.NET Core apps in 2026. Our platform is fully ready for it —
deploy straight from Visual Studio and go live in minutes. Compare hosting plans and pricing or start with free ASP.NET hosting.
